Columbian Soccer

March 9, 2008

A soccer brawl in Columbia leaves 80 injured, 18 of them with stab wounds. The soccer match between America de Cali and Deportivo de Cali took place Saturday and ended with both sides swinging.

It was in the 82th minute of the match when fights started to break out between the rival fans which soon led to fighting on the field at the Pascual Guerrero stadium. Police fired tear gas into the crowds as fans were lighting firecrackers and breaking down fencing.

After it was over 80 people were reported to be injured most with minor injuries but 18 with stab wounds. Among the injured were 3 officers and a pregnant woman.

The best part of the video footage is when a coach gets knocked on his ass after getting sucker punched by another coach before storming off. The rest is just like any other soccer match brawl.

Get me some beer, fire crackers and a shank I’m goin to the next soccer match.
